When you paste text
- Cotable finds the likely lesson breaks, topics, and dates.
- Your original wording stays attached to each proposed lesson.
- You review the full list before adding anything to the plan.
Cotable can still put a lesson break in the wrong place or misunderstand a date. Keeping the words intact does not make every grouping correct, so scan the first and last lesson and any unusual weeks.
When you upload a PDF
- Cotable reads the document and finds likely lessons and dates.
- The proposed lessons appear in a review table.
- Only the lessons you accept enter your plan.
Complex tables, scanned pages, marginal notes, and unusual layouts can introduce mistakes. Compare important wording with the source before accepting it.
What Cotable has to make a judgment about
- Where one teachable session ends and another begins.
- Whether repeated day rows are continuations of the same lesson.
- The curriculum's intended lessons-per-week pacing.
- Dates and explicit source week numbers when present.
- Whether a row is only a topic or contains a full teachable body.
Data-use boundary
Content is sent to OpenAI only when a user invokes an AI-backed action. Cotable does not use customer curriculum to train its own foundation model. OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default unless the API customer opts in, and documents endpoint-specific retention for abuse monitoring and application state.
How to review an import
- Confirm first and last lessons so the document was covered.
- Check any dates or explicit week numbers against the source.
- Look for daily pacing-guide rows that should be one session.
- Compare quoted or publisher-authored text before committing it.
- Keep the original document; import does not replace your source of record.
